DBIS seeks an inspiring Head of Art and Design & Technology to lead our well-resourced and thriving department. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of successful leadership and a deep understanding of current pedagogical approaches in Art and Design & Technology. The Head of Department will lead curriculum development and assessment design and mentor colleagues to foster a collaborative environment where student creativity and innovation flourish.
To be considered, it is essential to have:
A minimum of four years’ experience in a full-time class teaching role, with some middle leadership experience;
A bachelor’s (or equivalent) degree in Art or Design & Technology or a closely related field;
A relevant postgraduate teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS);
Experience teaching Art or Design & Technology to a high quality at Secondary School level within the English National Curriculum framework;
Experience teaching Key Stage 3, (I)GCSE and A Level Art or Design & Technology (applications from IB Art or Design teachers will also be accepted).
It is desirable to have:
A master's or postgraduate qualification in a related subject;
Experience working with EAL students (English as an Additional Language);
Experience or interest in being an examiner for (I)GCSE and/or A Level.
All new teachers are offered two-year renewable contracts and a competitive compensation package, with a gratuity of 18.75%, an additional monthly cash allowance, remuneration of school fees for one child and full medical and dental insurance for the employee.

DBIS is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic educational assistant to join our school to provide a personalised approach to student learning and support the pursuit of high-quality teaching and learning.
The Learning Enhancement educational assistant (LE EA) will work closely with the LE teaching team and will be expected to have experience in using techniques and strategies to support students. They will also have the ability to work effectively with individual students, small groups and whole classes under the direction of a qualified teacher.
The LE LA will be required to provide small-group instruction which is planned, prepared and assessed. They will provide feedback on student progress and attend meetings as deemed necessary. They will also undertake administrative duties as directed by the LE teacher.
